Benefits of sure falaq and naas

5 Excellences of Sūraĥ Falaq and Sūraĥ Nās
1. Sayyidunā Jābir bin ‘Abdullāĥ  narrated Beloved and Blessed Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said to
‘O Jābir! Recite.’ I replied, ‘Yā Rasūlallāĥ sallallahu alaihi wasallam may my mother and father be sacrificed for you! What should I recite?’ The Holy Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam then said and
ﻨ .’ I then reciet these two
Sūraĥs, and the Holy Prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, ‘Recite these two because you can never recite the equal of these.’ (Al-Iḥsān bittartīb Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Ḥibbān, pp. 84, vol. 2, Ḥadīš 793)
2. Sayyiduna ‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir
narrates, ‘I was
with the Beloved and Blessed Prophet )sallallahu alaihi wasallam on
a journey, when he )
said to me, ‘O ‘Uqbah!
Shall I not teach you two of the best Surahs that are
recited?’ Then the Holy Prophet
) sallallahu alaihi wasallam  taught
me (Sunan Abi Dawud, pp.
103, vol. 2, adiš 1462)
3. Sayyiduna ‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir narrates, ‘I was
passing between Ju3fah and Abwa (two places) with the
Noble and blessed Prophet
when we were sallallahu alaihi wasallam
confronted by a severe storm and we were surrounded by
complete darkness. The Beloved and Blessed Prophet
( began to ask for protection through the
means of and said to
me, ‘O ‘Uqbah! Seek protection through the means of
these two; no one seeking protection has ever asked for
protection through the intermediation of anything like
these.’’ (Sunan Abi Dawud, pp. 103, vol. 2, adiš 1463)
4. It is narrated by the mother of the believers, Sayyidatuna
‘Aishah iddiqah
,that when the Holy Prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam
would go to bed in order to take rest, he would join his hands together, recite
Surah al-Ikhla", Surah Falaq, and Surah Nas, and then
perform Dam. He would pass his hands
over every part of his blessed body that they could reach
to, but he would start from the blessed head, the blessed
face, and the front of the blessed body. He would perform all this 3 times
5. It is reported by Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah bin 2abib that the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam of 3mah, the Intercessor of Ummah,
the Owner of Jannah sallallahu alaihi wasallam said to him, ‘Recite
: and the Mu’awwizatayn (Surah Falaq and
Surah Nas) 3 times in the morning and 3 times in the
night daily; these will suffice you for everything.’ (Ad-Durrul-
Manšur, pp. 681, vol. 8)
