benefits of Sūraĥ al-Ikhlāṣ exelence of surah ikhlas

1. It is reported by Sayyidunā Abū Dardā that the Holy Prophet  sallallahu alaihi wasallam ( said, ‘Why doesn’t anyone amongst you recite one-third of the Qurān in the night?’ The honourable companions exclaimed, ‘How can anyone recite one-third of the Qurān?’ The Holy
Prophet  sallallahu alaihi wasallam ( said, ‘ is equivalent to
one-third of the Holy Qurān.’ (Saḥīḥ Muslim, pp. 405, Ḥadīš 811)
2. It is narrated by Sayyidunā Abū Ĥuraīraĥ that the Beloved and Blessed Prophet  sallallahu alaihi wasallam
( said, ‘Gather together because I am about to recite one-third of the Holy Qurān before you.’ Consequently, those people amongst the blessed Ṣaḥābaĥ (companions) + who were to congregate gathered together. Then the Holy Prophet  sallallahu alaihi wasalla came, recited and
then returned. We [i.e. the Ṣaḥābaĥ] began to say to each other, ‘Perhaps a revelation has come from the skies because of which the Prophet  sallallahu alaihi wasallam( has left.’
When the Holy Prophet ( came back, he ( said, ‘I said that I would recite one-third of
the Qurān before you; listen well! This Sūraĥ is equivalent
to one-third of the Holy Qurān.’ (Saḥīḥ Muslim, pp. 405, Ḥadīš 812)
Sayyidunā Abū Sa’īd Khudrī   says that there was a person who heard someone reciting ُ repeatedly, so he went to the court of the Noble Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam in the morning and mentioned this; in
fact that person was thinking less of that. The Prophet of
ِ ٖﻪ Allah said, ‘I swear by the One in whose
control my soul is, this Sūraĥ is equivalent to one-third of
the Holy Qurān.’ (Ṣaḥīḥ Bukhārī, pp. 406, vol. 3, Ḥadīš 5013)
4. It is narrated by Sayyidunā Mu’āż bin Anas Juĥnī that the Prophet of Raḥmaĥ, the Intercessor of Ummaĥ,
the Owner of Jannaĥ sallallahu alaihi wasallamاٰsaid, ‘Whoever
recites this surah10 times, Allah َ will make a palace for him in Jannaĥ.’ Sayyidunā ‘Umar bin Khaṭṭāb َ
then said, ‘Yā Rasūlallāĥ اٰﻟ  Then we willrecite it in abundance.’ The Holy Prophet َ sallallahu alaihi wasal
then said, ‘Allah َis the One who bestows generously and He َ is Pure (from all shortcomings).’ (Musnad
Imām Aḥmad, pp. 308, vol. 5, Ḥadīš 15610)
5. It is reported by the mother of the believers, Sayyidatunā
‘Āishaĥ Ṣiddīqaĥ ﺎ that the Prophet of mankind, sallallahu alaihi wasallam  the peace of our heart and mind, the most generous and َ once deputed a person as the chief (of a battalion) for a battle. Whenever he would lead his companions in Ṣalāĥ, along with another Sūraĥ, he would recite  at the end.
After returning from that battle, the people mentioned this to Holy Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam, who said, ‘Ask him why he does this.’ When the people asked him, he responded saying, ‘I recite this in every Ṣalāĥ because it describes an attribute of Allah َ and so I am fond of reciting it.’ Hearing this, the Holy Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam,said ﺻ ‘Inform him that Allah َﻞّ َ  also loves him.’ (Ṣaḥīḥ Bukhārī, p. 531, vol. 4, Ḥadīš 7375)
6. Sayyidunā Abū Ĥuraīraĥ  narrates, ‘I was once
going somewhere with the Blessed and Beloved Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam when the Holy Prophet َ sallallahu alaihi wasallam َﻢ َ ّheard someone reciting Sūraĥ al-Ikhlāṣ, and said, ‘It has
become Wājib [due]!’ I said, ‘Yā Rasūlallāĥ sallallahu alaihi wasallam
What has become Wājib?’ Heﻌreplied ٰ‘Jannaĥ.’ (Muaṭā Imām Mālik, pp. 198, vol. 1, Ḥadīš 495)
7. It is narrated by Sayyidunā Anas ﺎthat the
Beloved and Blessed Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
 has stated, Whoever recites ُ qul huwallah
ﺪ 200 times every day, 50 years of his sins will be erased, except outstanding loans,
if any.’ (Sunan-ut-Tirmiżī, pp. 411, vol. 4, Ḥadīš 2907)
